Hi, I’m Ariel Meyer and I would like to be your Councilmember in Pinecrest.

I believe in

  • Keep Pinecrest beautiful, pristine, and green.

Defend Pinecrest from any interference by the county and the state in our zoning regulations. I say NO to high-rises in Pinecrest.

Promote civil, open, respectful, and constructive debates within the Village Council.

  • Stand for our award-winning Police department and support plans that enable performance and staff recruitment and retention.

Secure a future where everyone can walk or bike safely throughout Pinecrest. Begin by establishing safe routes for residents that walk to parks or bike to schools.

Address growing concerns about traffic and speeding decisively.

  • Advocate for our local public schools, which strengthen community ties, so that they remain the top choice for Pinecrest families.

Enhance the ever increasing appeal of our public parks, Pinecrest Gardens, and Community Center to ensure they are enjoyed by residents of all ages.

  • Uphold Pinecrest’s tradition of transparent, small, effective, and efficient government, for the people of Pinecrest.

As a technology executive, collaborate with Village staff to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance government efficiency and connection to residents.

Identify and facilitate access to federal, state, and county funds for capital improvement projects that enhance our quality of life and property values.

Why I Care

I’m married to my wife Daniela, and together we’ve been raising our four children in Pinecrest since 2015.

We love it here. We are so happy here.

The recent Pinecrest referendum and my experiences canvassing have deepened my understanding of Pinecrest's unique character. Our enviable quality of life stems from the visionary foundation laid by our founders with the Village Charter, the dedication of past and current Council members and Mayors, the professionalism of village staff and police, and the active engagement of residents like you. This collaborative spirit and foresight have shaped Pinecrest into the community we cherish today.

As a Pinecrest resident of nine years, I feel that I’ve taken more than what I’ve given, and that it is time to shift the balance. If you elect me as your Councilmember, I pledge to honor and protect our heritage and what has made Pinecrest the Pinecrest we all love.

All former Pinecrest Mayors endorse Ariel for the Pinecrest Village Council.

Highlights of My Involvement in the Community

  • Member of the Pinecrest Zoning Board - I’m motivated to serve our residents and partner with other zoning board members in ensuring that Pinecrest remains a beautiful place to live

  • Hosted at our house Neighborhood Watch parties for our Poinsettia Estates subdivision of Pinecrest (thank you Shawn for coordinating with Captain Cruz)

  • Member of the Watch D.O.G.S. program at Pinecrest Elementary (Juli’s school)

  • Advocate for a pedestrian crossing into the Gulliver Campus on Old Cutler Road (my daughters’ school) - construction is finally starting!!!

I envision a future for Pinecrest in which anyone can walk or bike safely from their home to our schools, parks, centers of worship, or anywhere in our village.
